Oh how lovely to wake up with a glass of Rosé in the early morning in bed. And when you peered out of the glass windows, Orchard Rd was just there - in front of your eyes! How often one gets to have a champagne for breakfast? It's not that my system couldn't stomach alcohol in the morning, it's just that one f*cking breakfast like this will cost you at least a RM200.This Vranken Brut Rosé Champagne Demoiselle Grand Cuvee is crisp, light and subtle notes of berries. Aahh... the indulgence and the sweetness of alcohol in bed.
I like Singapore for all the indulgences that I can get. The lovely walk in the morning, the shopping adventures, finding my favourite chocolate brands and the gastronomic experience here is just so fulfilling.
I've got this routine when I ever head down to the island. And since I don't do much shopping (cos I can be broke after that), I prefer to meet up with all my friends staying there. People asked me, what do you do in Singapore? Errr... since I only have a nite's stay, I usually eat, drink, smoke and have a good time!

A friend of mine runs this Cigar lounge called Robusto located in the row of 1910 Peranakan Shophouse in Emerald Hill Rd. It's just situated above Que Pasa, which is a wine bar and is highly popular with the expatriate crowd. With benches, wooden tables and large wine barrels doubling as table tops, there's a rustic charm to this place. The wine list is very impressive and you can find some of the top first growths here (comes with a hefty price tag) and a list of whisky from Nika to your average single malts.
This is really a relaxing place for a cigar. Robusto carries a wide range of cigars but more on Cuban like the Bolivar, Cohiba, HDM, R&J and also the Ramon Allones. It feels like home.
It's so nice to just hang out there, do nothing but just drinking and puffing my cigar. You can meet some cool people here too, but of course the patrons here are mostly men whom enjoys their cigars and quiet time. Having said that, my friend wished that more ladies whom appreciate the fine smoke would come and check out this place.
So do drop by if you're in Singapore and you want to kill some time.
