They are an Irish rock band and formed in Limerick in 1989. The dreamy voice of The Cranberries and its principal songwriter is Dolores O'Riordan who plays the keyboards and guitars as well, then you have the guitarist Noel Hogan, bassist Mike Hogan and drummer Fergal Lawler. Although widely associated with alternative rock, the band's sound also incorporates indie pop, post funk, irish folk and pop rock elements. While they have not released a studio album since 2003's Wake Up & Smell the Coffee, the music of The Cranberries is timeless.
